Do you personally have advice for candle users?TOP When burning candles, always do it within sight.
Never leave unattended! Keep out of reach of children & pets. NEVER burn a
candle on or near anything that could catch fire. Especially open windows, where the wind could possibly manipulate the flame. Keep wick centered &
trimmed to no more than 1/4" at all times to prevent excessive flame or
smoke. Do not let wick trimmings, or other debris drop into wax. For best
performance, burn until wax melts evenly across your container, not exceeding 4
hrs. Discontinue use when only a 1/2" of wax remains in bottom of
container. Never move a hot candle. Never burn candles near a draft.
Never leave a tart warmer unattended! Keep children and pets away from tart
warmers while in use...
What type of wax do you use?TOP It is a house blend of paraffin and vegetable based wax that we feel properly represents our candles the best. We are constantly tinkering with the formula in hopes of perfecting what we already feel defines our market more than admirably...
What is a tart and how is it used? TOP A piece of highly fragranced wax that can come
in many different sizes, shapes, scents & colors. They are designed to be
melted on a tart burner/warmer. Once your tart has melted, it releases the
scent you've chosen in a highly concentrated form...
Some like to refer them to as wax melts, wickless melts, wax potpourri, etc...
These little guys are powerful in scent once melted in the proper unit. Many
users prefer these for scenting there home vs. a candle because they release
much more scent. Tart burners vary from electric to tea light versions, where a
tea light is inserted into the unit & then heated underneath the dish to
melt the wax. You can find electric & tea light versions right here on our site coming soon.
How long does a tart last, and how do I clean my dish out when it's finished? TOP Once the tart has lost it's scent which is
anywhere from 8 hours to a couple days, you will have to remove the left over
wax by pouring it carefully in a small paper bag or an old can & then
finish by wiping your dish clean with a paper towel... NEVER into your sink!
Once you've cleaned your unit, you can start new again :) I advise you to be
careful when cleaning the dish, because it can get very hot & needs to be
handled with caution. Another way of cleaning it out, would be to let it cool
by itself in the dish & it may pop out on its own or once it's cooled off,
place it in the freezer for less than 5 minutes, it should pop right out &
you'd just discard in the trash.
"Do you accept Wholesale orders?" or "Do you have a catalog?"TOP We do accept wholesale. Please email us at lolcandlesinfo@gmail.com.
No, we do not have a catalog at this time..
I can't get a scent release, the scent is not strong enough, it's taking too long to melt! TOP This depends on your type of warmer. There are
so many new designs today, which is hard to keep up with... From personal
experience, here is some advice: Is it a larger tea light burner? Some types of
burners are too tall inside & they have a bigger dish = more time needed to
melt! Never place 2 tea lights in one burner ever! This poses a potentially BIG fire hazard! Are
you using a mini electric potpourri crock? These units are strictly designed for
potpourri & water usage only unless otherwise noted with the
manufacturer... They become too hot for a wax melt (tart), You will quickly
burn the fragrance out of your tart and will lose scent way too fast! If using an electric warmer made for wax melts & is heated by a bulb,
you may need to up your bulb wattage to the next closest one if it's not
melting completely...of course within the manufacturers recommendations.
Would you melt your Popp Tarts the same as a scalloped tart?TOP It depends on the size burner you are using. Our recommendation is to cut them in half, and then melt them normally.
What is the best way to store my tarts & how long will they last?TOP In their own packaging away from light, stored
in a cool, dry & dark place. Stored inside closed containers are a great
idea too! Typically tarts can last anywhere from 6 months to a year... Maybe
longer maybe less, this all depends on how they're stored. Tarts will fade and
lose their scent and color over time no matter what. If stored all in one
container with a bunch of mixed scents, sometimes contaminates them with each
other. Which is why it's better to leave them in their original packaging.
Do you have any tips or warnings about burning candles?TOP Yes! Always burn candles within sight, and never leave unattended. Never eat a candle, no matter how good it looks or smells! Keep all candles away from children and pets. Never burn a candle on or near anything flammable. Keep your wick centered, and trimmed to 1/4" at all times. This will prevent excessive flame, sooting, and smoking. Do not let wick trimmings or other debris fall into wax. For best candle performance, burn until wax melts evenly across the center of it's container, never burning more than 4 hours at a time. Discontinue the use of your candle when there is 1/2" of wax left remaining at the bottom. Never move a lit candle. Never burn near a draft. Failure to follow these instructions as well as good common candle sense could result in fire, damage, or injury. Please always be careful!! What does the (HB) stand for after the scents?TOP (HB) stands for House Blends. These are scents developed by us and only sold through LOL Candles and our dealers. There may be similar scents but ours are unique to us, as we do a lot of scent testing to come up with our blends.
Do you ever cancel customers orders?TOP We do reserve the right
to cancel any order for any reason. It is very rare for us to cancel an order, after all we are in business to make money. When we have in the past there have been what we feel were good reasons. A few of the reasons we may feel the need to cancel an order are as follows... 1) Repeat non paying customers would be at the top of the list. Constantly having your credit card declined, with us having to chase after you. It is no fun for the customer, and additionally less fun for us. Even with the restocking fee, it takes time away from other orders 2) If in the event there is a pricing error/glitch on or with our
site, we may cancel an order. 3) Non communication or uncooperative customers. we try to stay in touch as much as humanly possible. We also understand that things will and do go wrong. However a customer we absolutely can not get in touch with throws up a big warning flag for us. Again it is about our time and how best we can service our customers needs.
We have no normal hours, and constantly check our email...
Do you read and answer all of your emails?TOP Yes we do! Please keep all questions and comments based around business and personal conversation to a minimum. As much as we love hearing about our customers personal lives, it's very hard to answer anything not business related. If we were to do this it would severely cut into our production time. Also please make sure to send all questions to lolcandlesinfo@gmail.com
